Aging in Place Program
The Aging in Place Program helps older adults remain safely and comfortably in the homes they know and love. In Fayette County, many seniors have lived in their homes for decades, but as mobility changes with age, familiar spaces can become difficult or unsafe to navigate, especially for those living on fixed incomes.
Guided by our Christian mission, this program reflects a commitment to honoring and caring for older neighbors. Through practical modifications such as ramps, handrails, grab bars, improved lighting, and accessible bathrooms, Habitat helps reduce fall risk and support continued independence. With the support of donors and volunteers, the Aging in Place Program preserves dignity, strengthens family connections, and allows seniors to remain rooted in their homes and communities.
